Hayley Citrine, the trust’s former director of nursing and operations, takes the top job as chief executive officer today.

Speaking on her promotion, she said she wanted further improve care at the already top-rated trust, which is the only hospital trust in the UK specialising in neurology, neurosurgery and pain services.
As chief executive, she also said she wanted to boost diversity among the organisation’s workforce, which she suggested would make the trust stronger.
