Role: Staff Nurse - Paediatric Outpatients
Location: Paediatric Outpatient, The Portland Hospital, London
Hours: 12-month Fixed Term Contract. 37.5hrs pw (Mon-Sat), Monday-Friday 8:00am-8pm and Saturday 8:00am-16.30pm twice monthly
Salary: Dependent on skills and experience + Benefits (pension, health cover, flexible benefits and excellent career development)
We are currently Recruiting for a Paediatric Staff Nurse based in the Paediatric Outpatients Department @ The Portland Hospital for Women & Children
As a Paediatric Staff Nurse working within one of our outpatient Facilities (Flexibility to work at our other sites to meet service needs if required ), you will provide the provision of high-quality nursing care to children and families.
You will be undertaking delegated responsibility for the department in the absence of Senior Staff and working to promote a progressive attitude to the continual improvement of patient care through research and evidence-based practice.
Duties & Responsibilities
Plan, assess, implement and evaluate programmes of care for individual children and to supervise junior staff in this activity.
Ensure an ongoing welcoming, caring and safe environment is provided for the children and their families.
Develop and maintain clinical skills and knowledge necessary to provide holistic, evidence based nursing care.
Carry out observations, investigations and treatments as required.
Skills & Experience
Registered Children’s Nurse.
Post registration paediatric outpatients experience desirable.
Phlebotomy is desirable.
Motivated and forward-thinking individual with excellent communication skills.
