About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Staff Nurse to join our highly regarded cardiac team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where advanced cardiac care is provided. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional care to patients undergoing a range of complex cardiac and thoracic procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care: Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate personalized nursing care for cardiac and cardiothoracic patients throughout their perioperative journey.
Technical Expertise: Manage invasive lines (e.g., central lines, catheters, temporary pacing wires) and accept ITU patient transfers while ensuring comprehensive handovers.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with consultants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and facilitate recovery.
Leadership and Mentorship: Serve as a clinical role model, inspiring and guiding nursing staff while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and safety.

What you'll bring:
NMC Registered Nurse
Experience in cardiac care, with a strong background in handling pre- and post-operative patients.
Familiarity with cardiac interventions, electrophysiology, valve replacement surgeries, coronary artery bypass grafts, and advanced thoracic procedures.
Proficiency in critical thinking and clinical decision-making.
Strong communication skills for liaising with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
A commitment to continuous professional development and upholding best practices in cardiac nursing.
