Role: Senior Scrub Theatre Practitioner
Location: The Lister Hospital
Hours: Permanent. Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: Monday - Saturday, 5 days per week, early or late shift.

We are looking for a Senior Scrub Theatre Practitioner to join our Operating Theatre department at The Lister Hospital. The Lister Hospital has been offering world-class healthcare and treatment in the heart of Chelsea in London for over 30 years and has received an 'Outstanding' rating from the CQC. We have 4 Theatres, specialising in Orthopaedics, Spinal, Gynaecology, IVF, Neurology, ENT, Thoracic.
What will you do:
Provide high quality assistance and support to the scrub Team.
Working as part of a team ensuring a high standard of nursing care and safety of patients within the theatre department. Whilst utilising evidence based practice.
Prepare equipment and instruments according to the individual needs of the patient and Surgeon, as well as involvement with the updating of Surgeon preference cards
Ensure all equipment is checked prior to use and any faults reported to the Theatre Co-ordinator immediately.
Mentoring Junior members of staff
Setting up Theatres / organising theatre lists

Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner
Current HCPC or NMC Registration / NMC Pin
Experienced Senior Scrub Theatre Practitioner
Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills
Self-motivated and confident to support the theatre team
Able to work as part of a team
