Salary: £16 - £20.40 per hour, Monday - Friday

Shifts: Monday - Friday, between 08:00 - 21:00

As an experienced Scrub Practitioner with more than 6 months post NMC registration experience you will be expected to deliver exceptional care to patients using services in the Rotherham area of South Yorkshire.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain a safe and sterile environment for the patient throughout the surgical procedure.
• To safely identify, prepare, check and assemble equipment required for the relevant operating list
• Prepare and organise the clinical area to receive patients for elective, emergency, and trauma procedures.
• Coordinate and maintain adequate stock levels of drugs, stores and implants liaising with the Theatre Manager and / Procurement.
• Actively support patients and their families, communicating clinical information using various methods to ensure effective understanding.
• Demonstrate and develop clinical assessment skills and prioritise the care for patients undergoing a surgical / anaesthetic procedure.
• Contribute to the continuing development of patient care within the operating theatres, e.g. through sharing knowledge and expertise as required.

Essential Qualifications:

• NMC registration.
• Full UK right to work.
• 6 months' recent NHS experience (within the last 3 years).
• Enhanced DBS clearance.
