The States of Guernsey are looking for an Oncology Specialist Nurse to join their team in Bulstrode Oncology Unit as part of Adult Community Services.
The post holder will be competent to safely deliver systemic anti-cancer therapies (SACT) to a complex caseload of cancer patients on the oncology unit in line with agreed local and national standards. The post holder will work independently assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating all aspects of care including assessing and advising on treatment related toxicities. They will act as a role model to support junior staff and students. Competence in cannulation and venepuncture together with a good level of knowledge regarding oncology nursing practice will be expected.

This role comes with a competitive salary, an annual bonus, progressive annual leave and entitlement to a pension scheme. We will also consider previous service in a substantive post in the NHS towards your entitlement to annual leave, maternity leave and sick pay.
This role also benefits from an additional bonus of £3,000, which is payable on the anniversary of the second and fourth year of employment.

This role offers off-Island candidates an 8-year Long Term Employment Permit (see details below). This permit will also enable candidates to bring immediate family members with them who will be permitted to work on the Island in any sector.
