We’re looking for an Endoscopy Technician to join our Endoscopy team at The Princess Grace Hospital, Currently rated "Good" by the CQC.

The Princess Grace Hospital has 127 registered beds, including 90 inpatient, 21 day case, 8 endoscopy, an urgent care unit and a Level 3 intensive care unit containing 9 beds, with 24-hour consultant cover and a high dependency unit.   
The hospital also has a several specialised centres, including; The London Breast Institute, recognised as one of the best private breast screening and diagnostic treatment centres in the UK; the London Digestive Centre, a highly specialised outpatient facility offering diagnoses and treatments for all conditions of the stomach, small and large intestines, liver, pancreas, and bile ducts; and The Institute of Sport Exercise and Health, a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to sport and exercise medicine.  
 
As an Endoscopy Technician you will have responsibility for testing and manually cleaning flexible endoscopes before placing into a washer disinfector. Unloading the flexible scopes and placing them into storage. Delivering clean endoscopes and collecting contaminated used endoscopes to/from Service User. The scopes require to have quality checks throughout the process and tracking by a computer system

Duties and responsibilities:
Manual cleaning of all endoscopes and associated accessories following current guidelines
Disinfecting endoscopes using auto-disinfector
Documenting all daily maintenance of all machines and equipment
Ensure tracking of each endoscope is up to date and correct for each patient
Cleaning and high level disinfection of all endoscopes
Cleaning and maintenance of all drying/storage cabinets
Ensure that the right scopes are cleaned for each procedure list and there is adequate supply to ensure that the lists run efficiently
Assist with the organizing of general and periodic service contracts and action accordingly
Daily equipment checks to adhere to health and safety regulations, and organizing the repair of all defects to be dealt with promptly.

What you’ll bring:
  Working knowledge of sterile services procedures is essential
  Decontamination qualification is desirable
