Full time:37.5hrs per week (Monday – Friday)(9am-5pm)
Permanent contract
Salary: up to £54,000 (DOE) plus Benefits

We’re looking for a Clinical Research Nurse/Clinical Trial Practitioner to join us at Sarah Cannon Research Institute (SCRI) currently rated “Good” by the CQC. Flexibility required to work at our London Bridge Satellite site as required.

We are a world-leading clinical trials facility specialising in the development of new therapies such as targeted and precision medication for cancer patients.

As a Clinical Research Nurse/ Clinical Trial Practitioner you will plan, implement, and evaluate expert research care and provide support to patients attending the Sarah Cannon Research Institute who have been or have the potential to be recruited onto a clinical trial program.

The Research Nurse/ Trial Practitioner will play a key role in ensuring that any research undertaken within the department safeguards the well-being of the patients and is conducted according to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) in conjunction with other clinical and non-clinical members of the team. The Research Nurse/ Trial Practitioner will develop strong working relationships with the study investigators working together to ensure patient safety.

The Research Nurse/ Trial Practitioner will support the recruitment of patients and ensure high quality early phase clinical studies are being run within our facility. This will require the research nurse to work flexibly across the Sarah Cannon teams to ensure the successful working of the clinical research facility. They will also act as the patient’s key worker providing support and assistance as required while also assisting in the co-ordination and management of a portfolio of translational clinical research.

The post holder will take responsibility for supervising and monitoring the expected and unexpected side effects of drugs and other treatment modalities used in these trials.

What you’ll bring:
NMC current registration (if a Registered Nurse)
A Registered Nurse or Clinical Trial Practitioner with at least 3 year of experience in research and trials coordination, including early phase trials
Oncology Trials experience
Chemotherapy Competent (SACT Passport) if a Registered Nurse
Patient assessment and phlebotomy skills
Haematology experience desirable
