Clinical Nurse Specialist (West)

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, I hold leaderships responsibilities and work closely with the care group and senior leadership in helping to shape our CAMHS team and deliver an evidence based young person and family lead service.  I balance my clinical speciality role with my leadership role daily and both are fulfilling and challenging.  This requires me to think on my feet and get involved – balancing the needs of my speciality caseload including complex family dynamics, systemic interventions and DBT as well as the daily needs of my team and my individual team members.

It is a great privilege to work within a team of highly skilled and compassionate colleagues who share in my values and ethos.  We have an enthusiastic team who pride ourselves on learning together, reflecting together and valuing each other and our collective experiences.

Specialist CAMHS West team has been nominated and shortlisted for the Clinical Team of the year.

Families are at the centre of our work, and we are very proud of the progress and development of our team offering 2 consistent family clinics alternative weeks, to DBT informed treatments as well as launching our CAMHS DBT service.  We are a team who prides ourselves on being curious and holding multiple hypothesis.
