Role: Advanced Care Practitioner Oncology
Location and Site: The Wellington Hospital, St Johns Wood, London
Full time 37.5 hours per week

We are looking for a compassionate Advanced Care Practitioner in Oncology.
The primary purpose of the role is to provide clinical excellence in the delivery of responsive, holistic care to patients with a speciality.
Working within local and nationally agreed protocols and guidelines, you will exercise independent judgement to assess, investigate, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the clinical care and management of patients and ensure all team members can do the same. As a ANP you will have a key working relationship with all members of the nursing and medical staff and members of the multidisciplinary team
What you will bring:
Deliver and participate in the clinical assessment and care of patients
Priorities health needs and intervenes appropriately
Provide a level of advanced and comprehensive nursing assessment based on a specialist body of knowledge
As a qualified non-medical prescriber, prescribe drugs for patients as per the legal requirements of the NMC, National Prescribing Centre and national guidelines
Work within the multidisciplinary team, within agreed protocols and guidelines
Manage own workload & support workload of the team as a whole
Complete documentation and gather evidence relevant to clinical risk management

Skills and Experience:
Minimum of 5 Years post registration
Previous experience working as CNS
Managing Staff
Managing Complex and difficult emotional situations
Developing policies, guidelines or Standard Operating Procedures

For 37.5 hours full time contracts, 264 hours holiday each year (inclusive of bank holidays) increasing with service, with option to buy or sell leave to suit you. This is pro-rata for part time contracts.
