Job Summary
The Trust is seeking to appoint an Executive Director of Nursing, Midwifery and AHP Services, who combines expert and proven nursing leadership skills, with a passion to deliver high quality Health and Social Care across our services, to our population.
Accountable to the Chief Executive and part of the Corporate Management Team, the Director will deliver a portfolio aligned to the strategic and professional leadership of our Nursing, Midwifery and AHP staff. The post-holder will advise and provide guidance and assurance to the Trust Board, Chief Executive and Corporate Management Team on all issues relating to nursing, midwifery and allied health professions (AHP) policy, statutory requirements, professional practice and workforce requirements.
They will lead the strategic planning and delivery of these services and ensure effective multidisciplinary and intersectional working ensuring the most efficient use of resources. They will also provide clear leadership and oversee the management of all staff involved in providing these services.
Essential Criteria
- Be on the NMC live register and have worked for at least 3 years in a senior management role in a major complex organisation
- Delivered against challenging performance management programmes for a minimum of 3 years, meeting a full range of key targets and making significant improvements
- For a minimum of 3 years, have worked with a diverse range of stakeholders, both internal and external to the organisation, to achieve successful outcomes
- Successfully demonstrated the following high-level skills for a minimum of 3 years:
People Management
Governance
Organisational
- A full current driving licence and access to a car. Consideration will be given to alternative travelling proposals in respect of applicants who have a disability and cannot hold a licence. This criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approved by the Trust, which will permit them to carry out the duties of the post.
